Accounting Student Assignment

Today, I did 2 student assignments for some cash. One is delivered and another needs revision. Looks like the expectations are getting harder and higher. Well, I have to request for more pages and that means more moolah for extra work. 1 page is simply not enough to cater to the many requirements including writing a summary of the financial data like cash flow, profit, loss, etc. This is an accounting assignment on a company in Australia. Well, I shall not divulge further as I have signed the terms of confidentiality. But such is the simple woman in me living in a complex world requiring high expectations out of me. It is not easy to survive in this very competitive world out there, unless you come from a rich family with financial support.

Many Books to Read

I have many reading materials including the daily newspapers. I read both The Star and Straits Times. Sometimes, I will buy finance magazines like Business Today, or Readers' Digest, the most popular magazine to-date. As of now, I guess I have no plans to travel for many months to come and this will save me much money in the long term. I also sold TopGlov shares of 6 lots or 600 shares at RM 11.44 a share, making me a clean profit of about RM 260 minus all the transaction charges of about RM 80. Then I bought MyEG shares at around $1.50 a share for 4000 shares or 40 lots. There is going to be one for one bonus issue for TopGlov on 24th October and the shares apparently keeps going up until the said date. Well, I better do some profit taking first before the share price plummets drastically like what happened to Nestle when bad news came out in the press.

Be Active on Social Media

To earn a better income, it is better to be active on social media like Instagram and get more opportunities for blog posts with higher pay. One has to work hard and hustle away, instead of watching telly most of the time. But if we watch the news to educate ourselves, then it makes sense to be enlightened. Don't watch soap operas or sob movies to kill time. There are lots to do and learn online. Don't forget about lifelong learning to keep dementia at bay. I have a few opportunities that keep me busy at night when I am free from my daily grind of work as an IT executive and admin in a home office. Hence, this is my part-time income to save up for my retirement in years to come.

Just Signed up for Viral Cash App

Viral Cash App is a cloud system. It costs me a whopping RM 207.88 or USD 50.00. I'm not sure how effective this is but you need to watch and post 10 videos daily! This seems like hard work but it eventually pays off. As people click on your advertisements via Google, Youtube or Amazon and Clickbank, you get paid. Still, in the learning process and young people have made hundreds of thousands from this cloud system alone. Well, due to financial constraints, I signed up for the basic package to test it out. I also signed up a 1-month trial of Get Response to collect emails and perhaps give out free newsletter or email downloads. Wish me luck and that God will guide my hands and mind to do the right thing.

A New Dawn Starts

Congratulations to Pakatan Harapan, helmed by Dr. Mahathir as the Prime Minister. No party is perfect, but PH is more people centered than self-centered in the previous administration under Najib. Both he and his wife Rosmah had been blacklisted from travelling. There was a private jet from Indonesia that tried to help them to escape from their many sins. I don't want to be judgemental, but you reap what you sow. You cause racial tensions and your dad caused racial riots on May 13,1969 will come back to haunt you. Even Altantuya case remains unsolved, but apparently her dad was paid off to keep his silence. This was the ex-regime that was oppressive, tax the people heavily in order to live lavishly with matching shoes, handbags and clothes of each colour daily. All paid by taxpayers' money.

My Clients' Products are on the Way

This month, I got 2 orders from clients without any advertisements on my Shopify store at TheLovelyShop123.com. I ordered via Oberlo app that is linked to Aliexpress, a branch of Alibaba which is the behemoth e-commerce site of Jack Ma. The ordered items were promptly paid via Paypal and after about 5 days, I got the tracking number from ePacket China Post, which was highly recommended, even though it takes 3 - 4 weeks for arrival of items. One item was ordered from a client in the U.S. while for the other, I ordered myself for a close friend online. It was a huge learning curve for me as to how Oberlo works on Chrome browser with the extension installed. Well, I am happy to say, I am doing dropshipping on a part-time basis and it really works!

To Claim Insurance

I am going to claim insurance from Prudential that I have paid since 2006 till today. I got tendinitis on my right arm and it has been diagnosed by the orthopedic surgeon in a local hospital. I am not sure if I shall get the full compensation amounting to slightly more than a thousand ringgit that I wish to claim for my expenses. I also did MRI in another hospital and am thankful it is healing slowly without further physiotherapy. Looking at dad's medical condition, I am grateful for a good health to move around and the ability to earn an income from the comfort of home. This is God's divine blessings for me with a very understanding but sometimes hot-tempered boss on rare occasions nowadays.

Bank Loans

I received $60k loan from UOB, $20k loan from Standard Chartered Bank at 3.88% per annum and $27k loan from Maybank at 7.7% per annum. Several banks called me to loan money but I have to put a stop to this before debt comes spiraling. I guess, I might want to return the $27k from Maybank unless I use the money to buy blue chip shares at higher returns. But then again the stock market is so volatile. A piece of advice in The News Straits Times can cause the market to come tumbling down drastically! It is the UMNO controlled newspaper that always highlight bad news and cause the market to become a bear market for some time!! Why can NST highlight positive news and avoid giving false news on the stock to cause massive panic?
