This local dessert consists of pandan flavored green noodles, coconut milk, 'gula melaka' or palm sugar for the brown coloring and fragrance, cooked red beans and lots of shaved ice. It is popular here in this warm climate here in Penang, Malaysia. The coldness from the dessert helps to cool down the heat from countries such as Malaysia that is located near the Equator.
