When we retire, hopefully our retirement years will be golden and not woeful having to beg from children or worse still, beg in the streets. We will have abundance with more than enough to last a lifetime and with some leftover for our next-of-kin. Therefore, the important question is this: Are you planning to retire soon?
According to StatisticsBrain, only 18% of American adults are confident they will have enough money to retire. In 2013, an estimated 24% of working American adults postponed their retirement. This means that many will not have the luxury to retire at the appointed age, but have to continue working way into their twilight years. The key here is to be prepared and not be caught off guard in planning for your retirement.

As for me, I will have many more fruitful years of working productively in a home office before I call it a day and retire down the road. This is when I can look back and be satisfied that I have planned early for my retirement and started saving up as much as I can for a life of peace, quiet and abundance. Your retirement has to be planned early and not do it at the last minute.
If you have children, then good for you! They could be an asset provided they contribute financially for your upkeep and take care of you in return. However, most parents won't burden their children with monthly allowance to be given to them and rather strike it out on their own. They will continue to work hard as long as they are able to keep up with the pace and momentum.
