[Videos] Châteraisé - Patisserie from Japan, in Gurney Plaza Mall and Meals at Various Places

This is a short video on Châteraisé which is a Patisserie from Japan, in Gurney Plaza Mall, Penang. Chateraise is a FAMOUS and POPULAR cake and pastry shop from Japan. For the uninitiated, Châteraisé, means a store that sells cakes, pastries, souffles, etc. It is also a franchaise system for those who are interested in doing the cake business, with all things set up including secret recipes for the taking. However, the franchisee needs to have large capital in order to start an expensive franchise. By the way, this is a NEW store that was just set up in Gurney Plaza, Penang.

Below is taken from my Instagram account of a St. Patrick's 3 leaves of a shamrock, "Good Morning" message. The three leaves of a shamrock are also said to stand for faith, hope and love. A fourth leaf is where we get the luck from.

The video below is on the meals at various places that I travelled to in Penang ranging from food courts to restaurants. Examples include steamed and chili crabs at Soon Lai Restaurant, cheese-baked fish fillet at Kim Gary, Strips of Ham wrapped with a fish fillet at James Foo Restaurant, Fish My Dream with poached spinach at Mitzy Bistro Restaurant, Drive along on Air Itam Road clip, etc.

The reason I posted these videos is NOT to Brag nor show how lucky I am! But to educate and entertain simultaneouly on where to eat good food in Penang. Just drop me an email if you are curious and interested at Diana(dot)Tan(at)gmail.com, and I shall happily disclose the locations of where to get such tempting delicious food; at least to my discerning taste. I am also one to patronize the same restaurant outlets and not try new establishments. The foods here look expensive, but actually, they are more affordable and cheaper compared to other restaurants that might serve expensive yet burnt foods, such as overbaked crabs and such.

Refer to the pictures below and click on the '>' button on the right to swipe left for more pics.

So, you will get the drift of what I mean by NOT being overly done or burnt for the baked crabs, as seen above.

Below is another inspirational Instagram photo from my account.

As a student, I used to claim on the scripture above that: "I can do ALL things, (not some things, few things, one thing, but ALL things) through Christ who strengthens me."

Time and Destiny are both changeable; so do not have pride in good times and do not worry in bad times. Both will definitely change. Good Morning!

Finally to end this post, here is a cute black-fur puppy - that looks like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, the wrestler, turned into a billionaire movie star. Enjoy!

To end this, stay safe and stay happy in this challenging time.

Today is Christmas Eve! Hence the earlier post than usual.

Now, it's that time of the year again for a yuletide season and Jesus is the reason for the season! It's Christmas eve today. Tomorrow, we will treat the family to a simple Western lunch somewhere. Since it is still MCO here, in Malaysia, we did not go to Genting Highlands as we used to in every Christmas time. So, to stay safe, we decided to stay at home here in Penang. It's never boring for me, because I shall have sometime to do daily.

Below is my certificate of completing a Social Media Management course from Coursera that was sponsored by MDEC.

So, you see, my days are pretty preoccupied with online learning and marketing of Atomy while doing some homework for the test and quizes.

Below is a picture of my Maybank AMEX premier card for Tesco RM 50 voucher that arrived yesterday, in time for my Christmas shopping!

Finally, have a lovely Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas lunch with your loved ones and pamper them while they are still alive! Below is my final picture of Christmas Eve greeting with splendid message and composition.

Stay safe and stay at home, people. Always wear a mask when going out to public places.

Completed a Course in Web Development Today

This morning, I completed a Web Development Course by Coursera, that was sponsored by MDEC for the jobless or unemployed graduates in IT. I took about 2-3 hours to complete the assignment for the final project before submission. There were 6 modules of several videos to follow. Each module is supposed to take 1 week to complete.

Below are my grades for the total quiz and assignments.

So, my overall score was 91%. Here, I learnt the basics to HTML5, CSS and Javascript. I will next proceed to Facebook Marketing and then Full Stack Development if time permits, as I have until end of the year to learnt up the many courses available on Coursera. The web development was taught by a software engineer and a Computer Science professor of University of California. The good thing about this is that I can learn at my own pace and convenience. Applied knowledge is power.

Above is a lovely picture from my Instagram of a painting by David Hockney. It was Whatsapp to me by my second sister who is lecturing English in a UK University together with her hubby. Both of them have doctorates, Ph.D. in their respective fields. That's it for this blog post. Stay safe and stay at home.

Basic Excel 365 Lesson 2 by Diana Tan

Here is another amateur lesson 2 on Excel 365 using Windows 10 operating system or platform. My apologies for the mistake: It should be 5 decimal PLACES; not 5 decimal points. Guess I was a little tired from watching so much Youtube and Zoom videos that I was looking at the decimal point and mentioned the wrong keyword instead. This was created using Camtasia and I hit the function key F10 to stop the recording immediately. The upload is automatic to Youtube for verification, and thereafter, I edited the thumbnail using a screenshot of my laptop with the green liquid that makes an awesome background. 💥💖💦

Now don't get me wrong. Being a Youtuber takes consistent effort and lots of time and energy. More and more people are jumping on this Youtubing bandwagon to leverage on the viewership during this Covid-19 lockdown. This is especially so, when you have limited budget and have to DIY (Do It Yourself). The beauty of DIY is that you have more control of what you need and know how to tweak the Youtube algorithm for more viewership and being found. Besides being a noob Youtuber, I have been a blogger for umpteenth years, earning a measly US dollars now and then from sponsored posts and such. With these said, I hope you like this blog post too and do watch the Excel 365 video specially curated here for your viewing pleasure and learning environment. 👩👧🧒

Stay safe at home, peeps! 😀😁😂
